Chairman Ou and Attorney Chen have built a deep friendship since they were classmates in the Executive MBA program at National Chengchi University (NCCU). Chairman Ou recalls that Attorney Chen only started playing golf in their second year, but due to his natural talent, he quickly reached a single-digit handicap. Attorney Chen is sincere and well-liked by his friends, which has helped him develop a broad network. Playing golf with him has given Chairman Ou the opportunity to meet many elites in the business world and build good relationships with them.
Chairman Ou has been playing golf for 35 years, with a best score of 80. His golfing style is characterized by shorter swings but he excels in playing short holes and making edge shots. Recently, Attorney Chen gifted him a Majesty golf club, and Chairman Ou jokingly said that the club has become more comfortable to use, and he has been frequently making chip shots into the hole. Reflecting on the wonderful times on the golf course, Chairman Ou is particularly impressed with the Guilin Merryland Golf Club, where he once played three rounds for a total of 54 holes with friends. For Chairman Ou, golf is not just a sport; it’s a way to combine health and entertainment. He emphasizes that the process of honing golf skills with good friends allows for both conversation and knowledge-sharing, while also maintaining physical health—making it one of his greatest pleasures.
