Our company’s International Business Consultant, President Ueshima Aya of the Shikoku Overseas Chinese Association, hosted a symposium for the Shikoku Overseas Chinese Association in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, on September 7, 2025. President Su, Jia-chyuan, President of the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association and former Speaker of the Legislative Yuan, was invited to provide guidance and engage in in-depth discussions with the local overseas Chinese community, demonstrating their outstanding international connections and influence.

The event was also attended by Deputy Director Liu of the Taiwan Office in Osaka, and Director Shen of the Foreign Affairs Section. During the meeting, overseas Chinese in Shikoku enthusiastically shared their views, noting that the popularity of tourism in the region also creates a need for emergency assistance. The overseas Chinese community also expressed their willingness to work closely with the government to promote a more comprehensive security mechanism to protect the safety of compatriots and tourists in Japan. President Su, Jia-chyuan highly praised the enthusiasm and cohesion of the overseas Chinese community and pledged continued support for the overseas Chinese communities in Shikoku, strengthening emergency relief networks and ensuring immediate assistance for Taiwanese citizens overseas.

After the symposium, President Ueshima Aya enjoyed a dinner with the guests and fellow overseas Chinese, expressing her gratitude for the community’s long-standing selfless dedication to emergency relief and for fostering solidarity among Taiwanese citizens living in Japan. Her long-term commitment to the overseas Chinese community in Japan has not only been a key driver of exchanges between Taiwan and Japan, but also embodies the value of her expertise in international business and public relations.
