I met Attorney Chen in the Executive MBA program at National Chengchi University. During the financial crisis, I took some continuing education courses, and Attorney Chen, being Chairman Tu’s senior, not only provided academic guidance but also offered valuable support in life. Last year, Attorney Chen invited Chairman Tu to join the golf team, and with his encouragement, Chairman Tu experienced the joy of golf and the warmth of the team. Unlike other teams that can feel somewhat competitive, the Merryland team led by Attorney Chen creates a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, completely free from pressure regarding rank or experience level.
Chairman Tu said, “I remember Attorney Chen once gifted me a box of golf balls. It turns out that he had achieved five hole-in-ones, and that was one of the boxes he specially gave me as a keepsake. I jokingly told him that in terms of insurance, his skill absolutely can’t be covered—it would cause huge losses for the insurance company.” From Attorney Chen’s outstanding golf skills to now establishing his own law firm, each step showcases his talent and determination. This is not only a milestone but also a recognition of his past efforts.
